Shoe-of-the-day: Kailia Footwear

I want this shoe. Brocade and Mary Jane? Yes please! Found on the eco-friendly and socially responsible website Kailia Footwear. Sounds like this company is pretty legit, their 'Mission' page lists a wealth of reasons they are cool - handmade soles in Italy, hand embroidery in Mumbai, recycled footboards, water-based glues.... etc. These are definitely at the top of my dream wish list!

Shoe-of-the-day: Olsenhaus

Really this is shoe of the week, or month, or year... not simply b/c I've been slack but b/c I am so in love with this company (Olsenhaus)! And this bootie in particular.....

Buckles and a peeptoe and a cut-out and scarlet red with studs and grommets and eco-friendly and a chain AND gorgeous?!? I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it....
And kudos to Ecouterre for such a great article including a great quote from Olsenhaus founder Elizabeth Olsen: “The product needs to have substance to it, so you have to explain yourself or people would never know it was a) vegan or b) made from recycled TV sets,” she says. “It doesn’t have to look an Earth Shoe or a Birkenstock.”

Shoe-of-the-day: Louboutin

These are gorgeous. And would be great for the holidays or New Year's. I like that they are not typically flashy and shiny but are still showstopping.

Shoe-of-the-day: J-41

These are slightly different than some of my regular posts, but for some reason I really like these wedges by J-41. Maybe it's the combo of sweet w/ rugged? Or the chunky sole that looks like you could almost go hiking and still have super-cute feet?

I also don't know really anything about this J-41 company. It looks like it's owned by Chrysler...?! And that it's based on Jeep (as in the car) technology...interesting. I also like the motto 'Adventure On' and the map on the sole of each shoe.

Shoe-of-the-day: Dior

For many of us the holiday season craziness is in full swing and we may be feeling a little StReSSeD! These shoes (Dior courtesy of Saks Fifth Ave) to me would be the perfect counterbalance to that - fun and sexy and not 'save the earth' at all - oh well! Happy freakin' holidays!

I thought I had posted this company before but it doesn't seem like it. I like the simplicity but beauty of these Nina Dolcetti designs. Again this is coming out of the UK (as a lot of eco-fashion does, argh!) but it's always fun to 'window shop'.
